Uncontrollable movements, such as tics, tremors, or muscle spasms (risk is higher with first-generation antipsychotics)
Weight gain (risk is higher with second-generation antipsychotics)

Low blood pressure
Low white blood cell count
Antipsychotics can also cause bad interactions with certain medications.
Discuss all other medications you take with your doctor before starting on an antipsychotic.
