Thief to a Thief

Imaginative and Asian, an artist who paints Sensations,
Carefree when Romantic, envisions beauty Passionately,

Tried so hard to be hilarious, had me standing at attention,
5 foot 5, hips and thighs preached Revelations,
Met her on the street while eating Vietnamese Cuisine,
Covered head to toes, spoke of Jesus but wasn’t Christian,
Gave the Gospel according to Lily, confused me for a Hill-Billy,
Stereotyped thieves as Wall Street crooks,
Wasn’t sure if she was stunting or flaunting,
Reflecting back on her father’s death while handing me her number,

Lived in Oakland, shopped in L.A,
Only going to be in town for the next couple days,
Told me to text, if I wasn’t busy,
Didn’t realize at the time, it was a trick,
Merely an illusion, a Black Widow concoction,
Spiked heels and tight leather pants,
Wasn’t long into the night until text followed,
Asked ‘what are you doing’, replied ‘getting high’,

Imaginative and Asian, an artist who paints Sensations,
Carefree when Romantic, envisions beauty Passionately,

Escaped selling rocks, wished selling bricks cost less,
X and Y Chromosomes killed themselves, wished for a baby,
Double covered, promised no raw dog, better be careful,
Wouldn’t want another Baby Momma’ expecting welfare,
This girl though, asked for a taste of Purple Haze,
Felt something strange so I sent my mate,
2am received a text, asking if I was coming through,

Never knew Asian girls were tricky, way she went down,
Had me drowning in my own sweat, blood, and tears,
Invited inside by a woman wearing Victoria,
Hid secrets in the closet, while playing under the sheets,
Remember stashing $1500 in my jeans, Phone next to the bed,
Eyes cased the room, paying attention to everything but my soul,
Used three condoms, drenched the sheets with exhaustion,
After waking up, realized I was alone and missing valuables,
Stole my money and phone, not a kiss or a note, just a thief,
To be honest, I wasn’t angry, I was out-thieved,

Imaginative and Asian, an artist who paints Sensations,
Carefree when Romantic, envisions beauty Creatively,
