Elevator Music

Many visitors are travelers,
Sent for a purpose, meant to learn from hardship,
For those who stay, comforting you during tragedy,
Extend love, don’t be afraid,

Right before the elevator door closed,
You yelled ‘wait’,
Long nails just in time,

Walked in silently,
Both of our past insecurities,
Nightmares with dirty hands,
Noticed how you smoothed over your eye-brows,
Thick arch with a downward spiral,
Lost in translation,

Eyes as dark as an Egyptian goddess,
Jealous father handed the thrown to his son,
Ears, nose, and tongue pierced,
Dial tone of your skin evoked fear from Aphrodite,
Zeus never married again,
Top lip completes a perfect curve,
Proposing mathematical perfection,

Many visitors are travelers,
Sent for a purpose, meant to learn from hardship,
For those who stay, comforting you during tragedy,
Extend love, don’t be afraid,

Only a couple of floors up,
Both of our eyes staring at the digital floor counter,
Memories of my mother disrespecting her mind,
Intoxicating herself as needles fell to the floor,
Packing my lunch for school,
Covering her with a blanket,

Dark hair made perfect spirals,
God hand sketched you and you were born,
Every time somebody mentions your hair,
Memories of your uncle’s hand,
Keeps you from trusting another man,

Don’t know how to express,
Inform you that you are safe,
These hands taught to respect others,
Sculpt beauty if the muse gives permission,

Many visitors are travelers,
Sent for a purpose, meant to learn from hardship,
For those who stay, comforting you during tragedy,
Extend love, don’t be afraid,

Shoes painted two different journeys,
Finding a strong woman,
Willing to share struggle,
Depend on each other,
Black in color supported by a red heel,
Spikes as sharp as kitchen knives,
Strength and the ability of picking yourself up,

Worn out tunic from traveling the Sahara,
Recently washed white tight dress,
Proud of every curve and stretch mark,
Left leg slightly in front of the other,
Dress shaped perfectly to your apple bottom,
Squats performed daily along with lifting weights,

Portion of your dress not covering skin,
Pigmentation of childbirth present,
Not afraid of raising a son,
Whenever he asked where’s daddy,
Told him all he needs is a loving mother,

Many visitors are travelers,
Sent for a purpose, meant to learn from hardship,
For those who stay, comforting you during tragedy,
Extend love, don’t be afraid,

Black lace lingerie,
Up and over your shoulder,
Bought my mother flowers,
Forgot to water them when high,
They died after one week,

Arms covered in tattoos,
Ignoring pain inflicted by family members,
Meeting between darkness and reality,
Escapes death and his watchful eye,
Rather sit in a tattoo parlor,
Feeling a needle instead of facing reality,

Beautiful creation,
Flowers matching your undergarment,
Most of your days you spend in a garden,
Walking among nature trying to perfect the next perfume,

Many visitors are travelers,
Sent for a purpose, meant to learn from hardship,
For those who stay, comforting you during tragedy,
Extend love, don’t be afraid,

Reached the 10th floor,
Our only chance,
Defeat demons,
Exact same time,
Pressed the emergency button,
Elevator came to a complete stop,

Faced each other,
Instinct to place my hands,
On each cheek above your neck,
Gently pushed me against the wall,
Power, instructions, and force,

Hands felt my body,
Making their way up and down,
Couldn’t touch nor feel,
Gave me the option to tell a story,

Many visitors are travelers,
Sent for a purpose, meant to learn from hardship,
For those who stay, comforting you during tragedy,
Extend love, don’t be afraid,

Spotting a camera,
Used your panties to cover it,
Slowly dancing feeling my chest,
Turned around grinding seductively,
Placed my hands on your hips,
Every second one more inch,
Dress fell to the floor,

Wish to give you paradise,
Unconditional emotional support,
With each flick of your eyes lashes,
More and more the floor became slippery,

Removed lingerie,
Felt your tongue ring,
Never knew what it meant to be intoxicated,
Every twist and tongue flick,
Found insanity peaceful,

Many visitors are travelers,
Sent for a purpose, meant to learn from hardship,
For those who stay, comforting you during tragedy,
Extend love, don’t be afraid,

Legs around my waist,
Found deep space,
Nothing could keep us from happiness,
Every thrust we fell into each other,
Scratching my back,
Biting my neck,

Fake eye-lashes fell to the floor,
Weren’t finished,
Pulled my shirt and kissed me,

Took off heels,
Started talking dirty,
Punched the wall,
Pushed into me as I pushed into you,

Many visitors are travelers,
Sent for a purpose, meant to learn from hardship,
For those who stay, comforting you during tragedy,
Extend love, don’t be afraid,

Clothes back on,
Pressed the emergency button,
Elevator moved,
Doors opened,
People waiting,

Neither of us showed sympathy,
Elevator was hot and stuffy,
Forgot to grab the panties,
Covering the camera,

Both of us exited,
Walked down the same hallway,
Put our keys in studio doors,
Lived next to each other,
Asked at the same time,
Do you want to come over?
