Don’t Judge Me Characters I Am Only Reminding

Obligated reminders seize to exist,
Careless believers forget perseverance is strength,

What happened to community awareness?
Unity supposed to transcend time,
All we got are don’t judge me characters,

Men and women afraid of parenting,
You don’t need to be my child in order for me to remind,
Recommending comes without asking,
Just as Aunt May smacked the hell outta’ me,
Took a whooping from family friends,

Reading Quran,
Surah 39,
Verse 10,

“O you my servants who believe!
Fear your Lord: good is (the reward) for those who do good in this world.
Spacious is Allah’s earth!
Those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!”

Reminding others does not reflect impatience,
Allah (s.w.t) watches perseverance as ears of brothers and sisters cover,
Afraid of having to change,
Doing good trying to better those around you,

As Dr. King fought against racism,
Institutions covered ears not wanting to listen,
Would it of showed strength or weakness if he had stopped reminding city officials?

People confuse judging and reminding,
I can remind without judging,
I can judge without reminding,
But if we judge the behavior and/or action,
While reminding the individual of consequences,
Allah (s.w.t) blesses those with strength continuing to remind others,

As we raise words to those ears Shaitan covers,
Muslims receive good deeds as he raises food to his wife’s mouth,
Imagine what a good deed it would be to speak wisdom to your brother’s ear?
How much of a blessing you would get from Allah (s.w.t)?
If the reminder you make becomes the reminder he or she spreads?

Sa’d ibn Abu Waqqas reported that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said,
“It is a fine thing when a believer praises and thanks Allah if good comes to him,
And praises Allah and shows endurance if smitten by affliction.
The believer is rewarded for everything,
Even for the morsel he raises to his wife’s mouth.”
(Tirmidhi Hadith 1733)

As we call ourselves Muslim, placing a title over chests,
Weight of words pronounce us dead,
Walking without realizing labels ain’t nothing but empty caskets,
Ain’t nothing but empty containers without the ability to help or hinder,

Abu Umayyah ash-Sha’bani said: I asked Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani:
What is your opinion about the verse “Care for yourselves”.
He said: I swear by Allah,

I asked the one who was well-informed about it;
I asked the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) about it.

He said:
No,
Enjoin one another to do what is good,
And forbid one another to do what is evil.

But when you see niggardliness being obeyed,
Passion being followed,
Worldly interests being preferred,
Everyone being charmed with his opinion,

Then care for yourself,
And leave alone what people in general are doing;

For ahead of you are days which will require endurance,
In which showing endurance will be like grasping live coals.

The one who acts rightly during that period,
Will have the reward of fifty men who act as he does.

He said (The hearers asked:),
Apostle of Allah, the reward of fifty of them?
He replied: The reward of fifty of you.
(Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4327)

We are obligated to remind others halaal and what is forbidden,
What Allah (s.w.t) blesses and who transgresses,

Pleas of judgment do not hold up to what Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) taught,
Judgment not what occurs,
Reminding each other of Allah (s.w.t) instructed,

Abu Qatada (RA) said:
“We were sitting in the Masjid when Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) came upon us carrying his great granddaughter.
She was a child and he was carrying her on his shoulder.
The Prophet (SAW) led the people in prayer while she was on his shoulder.
When he bowed in prayer, he put her down and picked her up when he got up.
He kept on doing this until he finished his prayer.”
(Sunan of Abu Dawud)

I have been instructed to remind you through actions and words,
For those who do not allow words,
Taking syllables as transgressions,
Actions remind limbs what they lack,
Actions not allowed to be seen,
Words remind vocal chords what they lack,

If either of these, rather both of these,
Are taken…

Rasulullah (SAW) said,
“Do you know who will go first on the Day of Resurrection to the shade of Allah?
Those who when given what is right accept it, when asked for something give freely,
And who judge in favour of others as they do for themselves.”
(Al-Tirmidhi)

If you wish to be accepted,
I don’t want to see brothers and sisters behind,
If nothing was taken from this extensive supplication,
Understand…

Whether or not judgment or reminder,
Judgment based on truth, or, based on falsehood,
Connection to dedication discovering Allah’s (s.w.t) obligation,
Will it be accepted or rejected that you ignored supplication?
