We Cannot Hide From The Day of Judgment

We must not forget the Day of Judgment,
Such children forgetting burning coals,
Reminding each other of punishment received,

Fearing Allah (s.w.t),
Not a bad quality,
Showing Eman,
Abundance of quantity,

What will the day be like?
What way will we stand?

Allah (s.w.t) describes,
“On the Day when every person will be confronted with all,
The good he has done,
And all the evil he has done,
He will wish that there were a great distance,
Between him and his evil.”
(Surat Al-Imran, Verse 30)

Would you want your left hand,
Touch what is dear?
Will ego get in the way?

Muslims confident,
Over confidence marries ignorance,

Will we be saved?
Will good deeds outweigh bad deeds?

Imam Bukhari and Muslim reported,
Ai’sha (ra) said Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
“Destroyed is the one who has his account settled on the Day of Resurrection”

Ai’sha continues: “O messenger of Allah,
Didn’t Allah say,
“Then he who is given his records in his right hand,
Soon will his account be taken by easy reckoning”
(Surat Al – Inshiqaq, Verses 7 and 8)

The Prophet (pbuh) replied:
“This is the skimming through the deeds;
And destroyed is the one who has his account settled on the Day of Judgment.”

Described we will be destroyed,
We will not be able to skim deeds,

Judgment day not an exam by professors,
Judgment day not a request from parents,
Judgment day not questions asked by Muslims fighting for Allah’s (s.w.t) cause,

We will not be able to skip through deeds,
Imam Buhkari and Muslim narrated,
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
“Allah will bring the believer very close and privately and ask him,
“Do you know this sin? Do you know that sin?
The believers reply will be, “Yes Oh Lord,”
Until he is reminded about all of his sins,
And he thinks he will perish.

Then Allah will say,
“I covered up your sins during your life,
And I will forgive your sins today.
Then he will be given his book of good deeds.

But the unbelievers and hypocrites,
Will be asked about their deeds loudly in front of the creatures.
“These are the ones who lied against their Lord!”
No doubt!
The curse of Allah is on the “Dhalimun”,
(polytheists, wrongdoers, oppressors)!
(Surat Huud, Verse 18)

Muslims should not gloat,
Muslims should not be confident,

Muslims should be sincere,
Muslims should be compassionate,

No one will stand in front of Allah (s.w.t),
Able to hide bad deeds,

Muslims are open,
Muslims are honest,
Muslims hide nothing,
Forgiven by Allah (s.w.t),

We will not have a translator,
We will not be able to call parents,
We will not be able to call wives or husbands,
We will not be able to call brothers or sisters,

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
“Allah will talk to everyone directly,
Without a translator.

The person will look to his right,
And will not see anything but his deeds.

Then the person,
Will look in front of himself and will see nothing but the hellfire facing him.

So protect yourself from Hellfire even by giving a charity of half a date.”
[Reported by Imam Bukhari]

Hellfire present,
Torment,
Torture,
Laugh at the torture oppressors call torture,

Hellfire,
100 times worse,
Hellfire,
100 times hotter,

What will we be accountable for?
How will we be judged?

Will money be our downfall?
Will girlfriends and boyfriends be forgotten?
Will fitna committed be overturned?

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said,
“The first thing the people will be accountable for on the Day of Judgment is prayer,
Allah will say to His angels (even though he already knows):

“Look at my servants prayers.
Were they complete or not?”

If they were complete It will be written as complete.
If they were not fully complete Allah will say:
“See if my servant has voluntary prayers,
If he has them Allah will say:
Complete his obligatory prayers shortage with his voluntary prayers.”

Then the rest of his deeds will be dealt with in the same manner.”
[Reported by Imams Ahmad]
[Reported by Abu Dawood]
[Reported by An-Nisa’i]
[Reported by Al-Hakim]

Are we short?
Fasting?
Number of prayers missed?
Treatment of brothers and sisters?
Allah (s.w.t) completes your duties with voluntary deeds,
How merciful is Allah (s.w.t)?

We mistreat family,
We mistreat brothers and sisters,
We steal wealth,
We steal wives,

A time comes when we are tossed aside,
A time comes when we have no one,

But Allah (s.w.t) is most forgiving,
But Allah (s.w.t) is most compassionate,

Not only will deeds be counted,
We will be questioned,

Judged by how we attained pleasure from Dunya?
Judged by how we attained wealth from Dunya?

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
“The son of Adam will not pass away from Allah,
Until he is asked about five things:
How he lived his life,
How he utilized his youth,
With what means did he earn his wealth,
How did he spend his wealth,
What did he do with his knowledge.
[Imam At-Tirmithi]

Did we attain wealth by lying?
Did we attain wealth by cheating?
Did we spend wealth properly?
Did we spend wealth worshiping Allah (s.w.t)?

Every action an action worshiping Allah (s.w.t),
Zakat,
Is that not worship?
Charity,
Is that not worship?
Taking care of homeless,
Is that not worship?

Able to use words?
Will we answer Allah (s.w.t)?
Allah (s.w.t) described,

“On the day when their tongues,
Their hands,
And their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions”
(Surat An-Nur, verse 24).

Allah (s.w.t) continued,
“And they will say to their skin:”
Why did you bear witness against us?
They will say,
“Allah has caused us to speak,
As He cause all things to speak.”
(Surat Al-Fussillat, Verse 21)

Muslims cleaning memories,
Busy burying deeds,
Not aware,
If we hid our deeds under rocks,
Allah (s.w.t) knows,

Our feet trace steps,
Our hands point,
Our ears listen,
Our tongue speaks,
Our eyes follow,

On this day,
What is important?
Allah (s.w.t) asks about hearing, vision, and hearts,

Allah (s.w.t) said,
“Verily!
The hearing,
And the sight,
And the heart,
Of each of those,
You will be questioned (by Allah)”
(Surat Al-Israa, Verse 36)

We can’t hide,

This message,
Just as much for me,

As it is for you…
