Al-hoor al-‘iyn (Not This Dunya)

Brothers busy tripping,
Empty caskets,
State of awe over lewdness,

Safe to say,
Muslims forgetting,
Waiting in paradise,

Dressing to impress,
Gotta’ wear expensive Oud,
Not realizing,
Who your following,
Isn’t worth a finger nail from Hoor,

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:
“If a woman of the people of Jannah were to look at this earth,
She would light up everything in between and fill it with her fragrance;
The veil on her head is better than this world and all that is in it.”

Can women of Dunya light up everything in between?
Can they fill voids with fragrance?
Allah (s.w.c) made it clear,
Veil from Hoor,
Better than this world and all that is in it,

I ain’t saying love is null,
Nor am I saying marriage is void,
Watch dogs follow tail,

Men taste Dunya,
React in two ways,
Reaction from sweetness,
Reaction from bitterness,

Brothers describing women of Dunya,

If I described Al-hoor al-‘iyn,
You would sit gazing 40 years,

They have “wide lovely eyes”,
[al-Dhukhaan 44:54]
Al-hoor al-‘iyn are unimaginable,
Marrow of calves,
Visible from beneath garments,
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, no. 3014)
Like well-preserved pearls,
[al-Waaqi’ah 56:22-23]

I ask,
Describe women of Dunya?
Does she miss Salat?
Wear heels?
Brightly colored hijabs?
Attract attention?
Wake up for fajr?
Can her taste of satisfaction be clenched?
Would she like to be rich?
Forgetting what she needs?

Chase tail,
Eyes pray,
Unworthy sacrifice,
Attention diverted,
Heels heard,
Hands ready,

Follow Dunya,
Thirst never clenched,

Women of this world never attain,
Qualities unattainable,
We can’t comprehend…
